How much does it cost to file a quit claim deed in California?
Just did one and it cost $119. It can be done cheaper but not by much as there are new additional fees that go into recording. Its so tricky in fact that my recorder recommended sending in a blank check with a note in the memo not to exceed $150. That way you dont have to send in the exact amount. Dont forget it also needs to be notarized. The amount Ive quoted above is doing it yourself, a buddy of mine called the local escrow/title company and they said it would be $500 if they did it.
